King’s College School is a forward looking international school which follows the British Curriculum with IB and A Level options in the Sixth Form. The buildings and grounds are extensive with substantial investment giving purpose-built facilities, underpinned by a dedication to high quality teaching and learning. The Examinations Officer will work closely alongside other key academic staff members (including the Head of Secondary, Deputy Head and Headmaster) as part of an efficient, supportive and collaborative team.

This post is pivotal in the support of the teaching, pupil and parental bodies and allows the smooth running of the examinations office throughout the school year, including during the busy summer examination results season. The Examinations Officer will help to advise students and parents about examination matters.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing all examinations, including GCE, (I)GCSE, A Level and any other public examinations.
• Liaising directly with Exam Boards as the first point of contact on behalf of the School.
• Being responsible for the safe storage and submission of scripts and coursework to examination boards.
• Supporting the administration of processes to manage assessments, reports and monitoring as well as supporting administration in school when required.
• Organising exam timetables, invigilation and supervision (internal and external).
• Reproducing and storing internal examination scripts on behalf of Heads of Department.
• Advising the Academic Leadership Team on all matters relating to exams.
• Issuing pupils’ exam timetables and organising exam venues.
• Meeting deadlines for the entering of students into public exams and
communicating relevant information in a timely fashion.
